I don't want to feel lucky!

Finally figured out how to make the Firefox address bar behave a like Chrome!
1. At Firefox address bar, enter about:config and press ENTER.
2. At Filter: field, type keyword.url
3. You should see a Preference name of keyword.URL in the list. Double click it, a “Enter String Value” input box will appear.
4. Replace the string with: http://www.google.com.my/search?q=

Chromed!

So here I am, a chrome addict already. Sometimes I feel that anything with a "Google" before it automatically translates to assured sales and market acceptance, and I mean ANYTHING! Google could actually canvas their own "Google Ear wax remover" and it would sell like hot cakes. One things for sure, chrome's got me hooked for now. But I must say, it wasn't the easiest of transitions.
I was a little apprehensive about switching to chrome, being the firefox faithful right from the beginning. I guess it was all the hoop-la surrounding the chrome release that really got me to me give it a try. After all, if a zillion articles and tech bloggers all around the world all recommend a product then i guess it has to mean something. So I decided to take the plunge and "give chrome a chance" ( John Lenon style). First impressions ..hmm, well...here is a light, classy looking browser that is clearly 2 - 3 times faster than its closest competitor. Any lay man thats looking at this would probably think I'm nuts not to switch over, but I guess my inertia got the better of me ( and my supreme loyalty! ) and I decided switched back over to familiar climes. Somehow firefox still felt more robust and reliable than chrome. Chrome not having any plug-ins didn't help things either.
Well that was a couple of weeks back.Ever since I've started connecting to the Internet (sucky Reliance connection) from my room, I've been suffering at the hands of firefox. That's where chrome kicks in. I still can't stay away from its mind blowing speed. Plug-ins can wait a while, but I am going the "Speed King" way. So, now I've decided to give chrome another chance (Chapman didn't give Lenon a chance to give peace another chance -> recursive chance calls :p ). So far so good. I would say that I am sufficiently "Chromed". Still a long way to go till I uninstall firefox though, but by the looks of it, I guess that day is going to come sooner rather than later.

Chuck Norris Logic
Salesman : " Sir, do you want to take a look at our new range of fully automatic nose hair removal tools?"
Chuck : " Hmmm..."
Salesman : " And guess what. There's more. It comes at an introductory price of Rs. XX99.99 only!"
Chuck : "(A little more interested) Hmmm..."
Salesman : " And thats not all. You get a pack of chips for free."
Chuck: " Really. Wow. Awesome offer. I'll take it "
I would be lying if I said that this conversation was real. But I will testify that it is an exaggerated version of something I saw at the local supermarket the other day. I thought I'd have my classic Steven Levitt moment and try and come up with a rational explanation for what I saw. After a couple of minutes of pondering, I figured Steven Levitt would probably tear his hair our before he could start to explain the seemingly irrational but yet satisfied Indian consumer. So treaded the path of prudence over insanity and left it at that.

Wise words
Something to ponder about...
"The heights of great men reached and kept, were not attained by sudden flights, but they while their companions ate and slept, were toiling upwards in the night"
